Since visiting my first jazz club in 2008, The Birdland, in New York, it has been my dream to create a regular jazz scene in my hometown of Northampton and bring together lovers of jazz music and musicians. That dream started to become a reality in 2024 through the creation of Flamingo Jazz Nights.

 

Initially holding fine dining jazz nights at The Ark in Midsummer Meadow, Flamingo Jazz Nights has since expanded to include regular jazz events where dining is à la carte and optional for guests - offering more of a traditional jazz club experience.

 

Flamingo Jazz Nights isn’t just about putting on shows - it's about building a local jazz community. By organising and promoting the jazz nights, it makes it easier for venues to host such events. In turn, this supports the wider hospitality sector and the jazz scene in and around Northampton.

 

I truly believe jazz can thrive in Northampton and I’m confident that Flamingo Jazz Nights is well-positioned to nurture a growing, thriving local jazz community.
